Butch and Sundance

Today's travel section of the Fort Worth Star Telegram featured the area of southern Utah, where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid hid from the Pinkerton Agents and other posse's out searching for them. Ahhhh, the good ol' days.....

As Butch and Sundance stand at the edge of a cliff, with the river far below. No option but to jump, to avoid their pursuers.

Sundance: You go first
Butch: I said no!
Sundance: Well why not?
Butch: I can't swim!
Sundance: Hell, the fall will probably kill ya!

Prom 2008

We survived another Prom! This year Cait went with a good friend, Cooper. They went with six other couples in a Cadillac Escalade limo. Prom was held at The Petroleum Club in downtown Fort Worth and then Project Celebration was at Main Event. Two different cameras died in the middle of taking pictures, so if I can get some from other parents, I'll post them. Cooper FORGOT to turn in his money for formal pictures, so we don't have any of those.
Next year is the BIG prom, her senior year. Better start saving now.....

Elle's Return To Texas

The countdown has begun. Things for Elle to look forward to in THE LONE STAR STATE

1. Normal men
2. Friday night football. It is a religion.
3. Chicken fried steak
4. Sweet tea, (even if she does think it tastes like dirt).
5. The Stockyards
6. Bluebonnets
7. Early summer, summer, late summer and one day of fall.
8. If there is any "wintery precipitation", the affected counties will shut down and there are no
parking spots left at the grocery store. You never know when a blizzard may hit....
9. Real Tex-Mex
10. Real Dr Pepper. It's made with pure cane sugar, y'all
11. Armadillos
12. Able to visit 254 counties, compared to Utah's 29. Twenty-nine? What's up with that?
13. Did I mention NORMAL MEN?
14. And don't forget Elle, in the summer, you have to let your truck cool down BEFORE touching
the steering wheel. Don't want any more of those second degree burns!
15. Hot men in starched jeans, white shirts, cowboy hats, boots and MANNERS! Yeeeee
haaaahhh.

A Man Like Your Father.....

So, they say you marry a man like your father. After 22+ years, I tend to agree. Got up this morning and Saxon was WEARING OVERALLS. What is this world coming to? I believe it may be a midlife crisis, as he is wanting to buy himself some sort of small car. A car? Saxon? He'll look like a clown driving a toy car! So, if anyone is in need of a 2003, F250, crew cab, Powerstroke deisel, 4x4, gray, bed cover, got one for ya. He's got it for sale. Just for those of you who don't drive a deisel, it's 4.00 a gallon.

Additional Pictures of the Day

Ok, it has been requested that I feature the other two sisters. So, as requested Allison, here are pictures of Amanda and Tara. At their finest I might add! You never know who will show up next! Check back for updates.

The New Hallie

Tara writes: Hallie got glasses today. She is very funny because she keeps moving her head up and down and saying "fuzzy...clear...fuzzy...clear". She is amazed at the things that she can see now that she did not realize she couldn't see before. This is how she sounded on the way home. "There is Subway, and Publix, and Citgo, and look at the leaves. There is little flowers on the trees!"
Guess she found that hamster thats been lose in the house.....
